ABOUT FSFS

The Firefly Student Film Series (FSFS) is a monthly public event held at the Firefly Club in Ann Arbor, MI. Over 20 universities in Michigan and northern Ohio have been invited to submit their films, but registration is open to any current college student.

Because finding other people whose tastes and talents compliment each other’s is the key to any successful film endeavor, this is a film series more concerned with the future ventures of its partipants than their current body of work. Therefore, FSFS has no judges, no prizes and no entry fees of any kind. It is not a competition or commercial enterprise; instead, the event is geared towards creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for film students to showcase their work, survey the work of other students, and meet their contemporaries.
